By the early 19th century, most of the world had moved away from swords as a primary weapon, but nearly every military in the world still kept a saber at the sides of their soldiers for when either their guns had run dry or they had closed with the enemy enough.
This will be a class on the techniques used by 19th century militaries. Material covered will come from an England reeling from the loss of the Revolutionary war, pre-civil-war USA, and Napoleonic France.
